A celebration and representation of BIPOC femininity and power, my mission for this series, in collaboration with Selda, was to convey the deeper message ‘Don’t Touch My Hair’, through bold portraits of women feeling free and confident, and embracing their hair. The element of movement was key in portraying the overall message, and through styling and use of a minimalistic backdrop, the subject in each image remains the entire focus, without distraction.
